The Great Reading Adventure

We are learning to write a moment in time about our class assembly.

Finally the day has arrived I have exploding bag in my stomach! When it was my turn I feel nervous because my mum is in the audience. I am in the Maui and the sun group. Jesse’s music came on and he was walking  up and down the stage waving his arms when the music went faster Jesse went faster. When Jesse went past Hunter and his brothers and me and the other narrators, it was our turn to get up. I was really nervous, my body was shaking in fear. When my turn was over I felt good the rest of it was hilarious.

Tsunami Evacuation

We wrote a recount about our evacuation experience.  

In the morning at about 9:00 the Tsunami warning went on. I was terrified. The rest of the school got their bags and headed up the hill and I was petrified of what might happen. There was a lot of gorse. It was incredible, I hated the amount of gorse!!! I could almost see the school. It was so small it was like a play house but it was a  school  and I could see the lake and waka bay it was literally incredible. I did not believe my eyes. After all the drama we got a sausage sill and milk. That was a relief!!!

Undersea Gardens

Learning Intention - WALT skim and scan for information to find out what is in an 'undersea garden. 

A undersea garden is protection and a home for fish and sea life.

Crab hide in the seaweed for protection from predators.

Tractor Trek - - Big Feelings

We wrote a recount about our Tractor Trek experience.

 At the Tractor Trek there were Massey Fergusons, Hummer and John

Deeres. It is amazing” I said to myself. I also climbed the wheel and I
jumped off it and I nearly got a ground shock!!!

When we got into the assembly a lady called Cat talked about feeling. I loved it because the Tractors went past the hall. I liked the massive John Deere that was at the end of the line. At the assembly it was fun, a bit scary and cool.
